Château Treytins Montagne Saint Emilion 2020 (France)
"Licorice, espresso, bay leaves and red plums come through in the nose. The wine is medium-bodied, fresh, crisp and fruity with a polish to the cherries and a touch of spice in the finish. Drink from 2023-2035" Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider
Almost black ruby hue, generous bouquet of sour cherry jam and spice. The palate shows lovely volume, with noticeable yet well-coated tannins, and a long, elegant finish.
Slightly more than 5 hectares on soils ranging from sandy-loam to gravel located partially on a hillside. Double Guyot pruning, bud removal, sustainable soil enrich-ment, leaf thinning, green harvesting if necessary, ploughing, managed grass cover, harvesting when the grapes reach perfect maturity. Vine treat-ment only when required.
Sorting of the harvested grapes, full destemming, fermentation in temperature-controlled vats, con-trol of the maceration process and vinification temperatures. Aged in concrete tanks.
